68/24 ROAD MARKINGS IN LITTLE TARRINGTON
Members considered the report from the Ward Councillor who has been working with Herefordshire Council officers to find a solution to the speeding issue in Little Tarrington. Proposed solutions include restoring road marking and to implement a speed reduction. The speed reduction will involve spending £10,000 on a Traffic Regulation Order which will only reduce the national speed limit to 40 mph, and Members did not consider this to be an effective solution to speeding and therefore cannot support. Members feel that reinstating the warning road markings and the provision of warning signage offers the best solution to the problem.
